Your
'browser' is the software application you use to view web
pages. As of February 2007, about 59 percent of you use
Microsoft's Internet Explorer, 33 percent use the free Firefox
browser and only a few users "surf" with other applications.
Linking
Linking to
other web pages, on our site or other sites, is one of the
unique advantages of presenting information on the internet. We
strongly advocate hyperlinked history and we link extensively.
|
As you use your mouse to move your cursor around
a web page, it changes shape when it is on an active
link. |

We show all links as
underlined text. We never underline text except to show a link. Our
links are active: clicking on them takes you to another page or,
in a few cases, to another place on the same page. Example:
bottom of page.
There are two
types of links and our custom is to use them differently.
-
Internal links (links to pages on this website)
The new page takes the place of the page you had been
viewing. To return to where you were, click on the "back"
icon or link on your browser or press the 'back' key if your
keyboard has one. If the link doesn't work "page not found"
will display, or it the page does display and you want to
comment on it, contact us.
-
External links (links to pages on other websites)
The new page will open in a new window of your browser
software. That will let you move around the other site
freely. If our link doesn't work "page not found" will
display. Please contact us. But
if it works, please remember that you are now viewing pages
on another website, so address any
comments to the webmaster of the other site, not to us. To
return to our page, close this new window by clicking on the
in the upper right corner of your screen.
