"The Jewish Carpenters Union in Cleveland was chartered in 1903 as Local 1750 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Painters. The local gained higher wages for its members and soon attracted more members, all Jewish of course, numbering about 200 members by 1911. In this photograph a contingent dressed in white overalls prepared to march from the East 37th Street Oheb Zedek on Labor Day."
