While preparing for my senior sermon at Hebrew Union College, I came across a quotation in the Book of Proverbs, “B’ain hazon yiparah am.” “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” This wonderful message has formed the basis for my rabbinate and moved me to engage in the nearly 6,000-year-old vision of Judaism.

Through the texts and treasures of Jewish experience, I have focused on the many and varied paths to holiness, the creation of sacred space, sacred time, and sacred living.
